But a recent update on the game’s progress has given fans a reason to feel optimistic. A post shared on Reddit revealed just how large the CD Projekt Red team working on The Witcher 4 has become. According to the numbers shared, more than 500 people are now working full-time on the project. This also reassures fans that the CD Projekt Red team is taking it seriously and leaving no stone unturned to get the best out of it.

Keep in mind, this roadmap was first announced back in 2022, so the fact that they’re still reaffirming it this deep into development is encouraging.”

It’s expected to connect the story between the current game and its upcoming sequel, and could potentially offer some kind of closure to Geralt’s arc, though plenty of fans, understandably, are hoping he doesn’t meet a tragic end.
The first look is expected to be released in 2028.
