Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced follows the story of Edward Kenway from a small-time pirate to a feared captain of the Jackdaw. The story takes players through a journey filled with sequences of naval combat, exploration, and a colorful cast of characters.
Once the main story ends and the credits roll, many players naturally wonder what to do next. Fortunately, the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced edition offers much more than a remastered version of the original game. It adds plenty of new content, giving both new and returning players many reasons to keep exploring the Caribbean long after the main story ends.
A World Without Gold
A World Without Gold is the new chapter addition to the post-story content that centers around a new antagonist named Maynard. This optional storyline unlocks after players complete Sequence 11 and includes eight new missions that reward them with new weapons for the Jackdaw. Also, the player is not required to complete this mission to complete the main storyline.
Officer Quests
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced introduces three new Naval Officers available for recruitment to Edward’s crew. While two of their associated questlines technically become accessible after Sequence 4, there’s no harm in saving them for after the main story concludes. These side quests provide you with a background on each officer’s story and unlock valuable Jackdaw abilities.
Side Quests
With the core narrative complete, it’s a great time to dive into the game’s expanded roster of side content. Much of it is new to this version, including Blackbeard’s Treasure, a questline centered on Captain Stede Bonnet, the Art Lover and Damn Fine Gear quests, and a scavenger hunt for Mayan Steles hidden throughout the Caribbean. Each one comes with its own distinct rewards and gives players fresh incentive to keep exploring the map.
Hunts & Contracts
For players who’d rather stay in combat mode, the game still delivers plenty of options. Assassination Contracts, Naval Contracts, and Templar Hunts remain available post-story, offering solid payouts, useful crafting materials, and even legendary outfits for those who complete them. They’re also one of the most reliable ways to stockpile Reales, which come in handy when it’s time to invest in the Jackdaw’s pricier upgrades.
